Tips for parents on how children react to stress

The following is a list of children’s responses to stressful situations and recommendations for parenting behavior for a short period of time.

Children react to stressful situations in different ways.
Parents can help their children cope briefly with stressful situations if they develop typical responses to stressful situations in children.
This table provides a list of typical children’s reactions to stressful situations and recommendations for possible adult behavior in the case of these reactions.
If your child’s behavior corresponds to one or more of the points in the table for a long time, or if the severity of reactions increases, it is recommended to consult a psychologist for advice.
