“Food addicts”: a psychologist named one of the main reasons for overeating

Stress is one of the biggest causes of overeating. In stressful situations, people can often change their taste habits. Clinical psychologist Mikhail Khors spoke about the relationship between stress and overeating.

 

According to him, many of those people who suffer from excess weight are addicted to food. In rare cases, they have biochemical disorders.

 

– The disease creates stress, and the food addict feels that the nerves need to be calmed by food. When a person is overweight, it means that he is a food addict with a food addiction. Although there are cases with biochemical disorders. But there are very few of the latter, ” the expert explained.

 

According to him, if you take statistics that show how many percent of the country’s population is overweight, it will be those who eat stress. The psychologist is sure that most people do this because they depend on food.
